If you watch a few, and you learn something that will save you time and effort, imagine what an entire day of instruction can do to help you work more efficiently. I love seeing a participant have that ‘light bulb’ moment.
Excel: Because who doesn’t use that program daily?
Word: Because it does WAY more than a typewriter!
PowerPoint & OneNote: Because one app you probably don’t use correctly and the other app you may not be using all all but should be!
Access: If you’re reporting from Excel – YIKES! Put this app, that’s probably sitting unused on your machine, to work. It links directly to almost any data source and runs reports in a fraction of the time. It has a SQL tool built in. No need to learn that language. Just click and drag and create queries and reports. (PS. I manage my entire business out of an Access Database.)
HTML, CSS and WordPress: These two languages compose the foundation of all websites. It’s never a bad idea to know and understand the foundations of a technology that changed the world.
Windows, Outlook and Visio: File and email management are overlooked necessities. Most of us are self taught on these apps and could use a refresher on being more efficient in these apps!
